Korea is one of few countries that allows privately owned land and real estate. In 2016 research, about 0.2% of land in Korea is owned by foreigners, which is about 80 times the size of Yeui-do. 

 

Korean government grants permanent residence for investors over \500,000,000, leading many foreign investors and investing corporates to peak interest in Korean real estate, and this is especially true for office buildings, which is over 70% owned by foreign funds.

 

Seoul real estate market is about 50% bigger than that of Hong Kong, and 100% bigger than that of Singapore, attracting many foreign investors worldwide.
